All new PARISH ASSISTANT team - details here of all the people who have joined our happy band this term!

After interviewing lots of people we are delighted to announce this year's team of Parish Assistants who will be working with us from September.  Please pray for these people.  Together they will be giving something along the lines of 420 hours each week to the church (the same as about 10 full-time paid staff!) which is amazing.  Please pray that they will benefit from the experience of working with us and enjoy serving god is this very specific way.

Allan Ashworth will continue to work alongside Margaret on the administration of the cell groups. They help to allocate people to groups, keep track of who is in what groups and help with training events as well as lots of other cells admin. Paula Bell has been a member of St Michael's for a very long time and now has the opportunity to work alongside Jeni Farnhill as Visitor PA, helping us to keep the church open midweek to visitors all year round.

Ollie Brown used to work for Riding Lights, then as a theatre technician around the country.  He has now come to work alongside Simon Bray for a year as a technical Parish Assistant. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Pam Lydiate is carrying on her work as Administrative Parish Assistant, helping with the organisation of many of our events.  Pam is also taking on responsibility for wedding administration and room bookings. Sam Tyndall is working as a Social Action Parish Assistant.  He will be doing some work with York Besom as well as developing other areas.  He has a particular interest in Fair Trade and Green issues. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Pippa Winterburn has been invited to come and work as Parish Assistant for the G2 congregation.  She is our first service-specific PA and will be helping to develop links and support the G2 leadership. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
