Can you fill a shoebox with nice things and treat children in need throughout the world? We hope so.... Great video here to encourage you

Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of the Christian charity Samaritan's Purse.  It enables caring individuals, families, churches, schools etc to bring joy and hope to children in need throughout the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.

In previous years individuals from St Michael's have filled and donated shoe boxes, but this year we thought we would like to take part as a church.  Judy Griggs has kindly agreed to co-ordinate our efforts, with the help of her cell group. Watch out for leaflets appearing in church soon telling you exactly what to do or, for a preview take a look at www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk

If you don't want to participate on your own, why not get involved as a cell group?  You could hold an Operation Christmas Child social and invite your friends, neighbours and work colleages etc to enjoy this fun with you.

Our shoe boxes will be presented as part of our offering in services on Cell Sunday, 16 November, just in time for the final collection date of 18 November.
